Li-ion batteries

AR-flagPhenomenological model-based analysis of Lithium batteries. Discharge, charge, relaxation times studies cycles analysis.

Project made by Eduardo R. Henquín and Pío Aguirre.

This simulator is part of the work developed at paper “Phenomenological model-based analysis of lithium batteries: Discharge, charge, relaxation times studies, and cycles analysis“.

The simulator allows to verify the time response of a lithium LiXC6 | LiyMn2O4 cells using a 1:2 v/v mixture of ethylene carbonate and dimethyl carbonate as electrolyte.

In the right part of the simulator, it can be seen graphics that correspond to:

  • cell voltages
  • internal potential drops
  • electrolyte concentration in the compartments
  • concentration of lithium in the solid particles from the electrodes.

To use this simulator the application Microsoft Excel 2003 or above must be installed on your computer, and follow the instructions below.

  1. Download the file by clicking here.
  2. Unzip the file. To do this, you must have decompression software for “zip” files like Winzip, Winrar or 7zip.
  3. Run the extracted file “LihiumCell Discharge (Henquin ER, Aguirre PA).exe”. A password will be required.

Kindly request the password by mail to: Eduardo R. Henquin (ra.vo1714300615g.tec1714300615inoc-1714300615efatn1714300615as@ni1714300615uqneh1714300615e1714300615) or Pio A. Aguirre (ra.vo1714300615g.tec1714300615inoc-1714300615efatn1714300615as@ri1714300615ugap1714300615).

By introducing the password will have access to use the simulator.

A screen similar to the following will be presented.

With the scroll bars, is possible to change the parameters listed and graphically observe the time response of the system.
